What is spring? 🌷
Spring is the season that falls between March, April and May. During this time, the weather begins to warm up, plants start to grow again, and many animals come out of hibernation as the world comes back to life.
What date does spring start?
In the UK, meteorological spring always begins on 1 March and ends on 31 May.
Astronomical spring begins on the vernal equinox, usually around 20 March in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the moment when day and night are almost the same length. The exact date changes slightly each year because of the Earth’s tilt and its orbit around the Sun.
