Writing to provide information – WJECDiscussing raising money for charities

Can you think of different activities – gweithgareddau – people generally do to raise money for charities? Here are a few examples:

• taith gerdded noddedig – a sponsored walk
• taith feicio noddedig – sponsored bike ride
• gwerthu cacennau/teisennau – selling cakes
• diwrnod dim gwisg ysgol – no school uniform day
• gwisg ffansi – fancy dress

If you wanted to write about a fundraising event, you could focus on the above questions to make sure that you include all the details.

Read the following group text message that members of a youth club received about a sponsored walk:

Helo, bawb. Hoffech chi gymryd rhan mewn taith gerdded noddedig? Byddwn ni'n cerdded deg milltir i fyny ac i lawr y mynydd ar Awst 10. Byddwn ni'n dechrau am ddeg o'r gloch. Byddwn ni'n codi arian i helpu elusennaulleol. Dewch i gefnogi!
