Alison Jackson

Alison Jackson began her career studying sculpture, but moved to photography for her MA in 1999 at the Royal College of Art.
The work that brought her fame was a series entitled Mental Images, which featured look-alike models of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed posing supposedly with their child.
The images were lit and composed in the style of the Old Masters and began a series of works that explored the cult of media celebrity. The project continued on television with the major series Double Take for the BBC in 2003 and one off specials for Channel 4.
