Friday 25 AugustGuitars
Guitar sales in the UK have hit an all-time high. Musicians splashed out �110 million on electric, bass and acoustic instruments last year - up from �102 million in 2004. The Music Industries Association (MIA) said an influx of cheaper models made in China had pushed down prices. Guitars are the "bedrock" of UK instrument sales with nearly a million sold last year - up 200,000 on 2004, the MIA said.

Our main story this morning is the forest fires raging in Northern Greece, near the holiday resort of Casandra, in Halkidiki. Around 1,000 British people have been evacuated. The latest word is that there are no British casualties at all, but one German tourist is believed to have drowned during the evacuation.

We followed up a story from BBC One's Real Story programme, about the theft of data from second hand computers. Our expert said there are some free programmes such as Eraser and D-ban which promise to wipe sensitive data. But he did add that the surest way to get rid of it is to take a hammer to your computer's hard drive.

Blizzard: Race to the pole
We spoke to Arthur Jeffes and Chris Van Tulleken about a new documentary series. Two teams of English and Norwegian explorers recreate the 1911 race to the South Pole between Amundsen and Scott. Over 99 days and 1400 miles, under the same conditions, the teams attempt to settle the controversies that still rage around the original race. Our business presenter Declan Curry is asking for your e-mails on checking your credit status, as a report says that many banks and other financial institutions hold inaccurate records.
