Thursday 27 April Heart Surgery
From today, if you're waiting for heart surgery, you'll be able to check survival rates as heart units all over the UK make their figures public. You will be able to check them online via the Healthcare Commission's website - it may take some time before all the figures are available.

Tuesday 25 April Myeloma
We talked to children's TV presenter Dominic Wood - from Dick and Dom in da Bungalow - about the cancer Myeloma. He mentioned that you can still buy tickets for his charity performance on April 30 at the Bloombury Theatre in London. Monday 24 April Tracing your ancestors: 1841 census
We talked to history lecturer Sarah Richardson and the producer of the BBC series Who do you think you are? about tracing your ancestors. They were discussing the 1841 census, which is now available online. The website we used was Ancestry.co.uk - but be aware that there is normally a charge. You can also find censuses on the National Archives' website The BBC's Family History website has lots of useful tips on where to start Internet safety

Friday 21 April London Marathon
We heard the remarkable story of Gianna Jessen, a 28 year old American with cerebral palsy who's running in the London marathon. She's raising money for a cerebral palsy charity: SOS stars for cerebral palsy Steve Redgrave: we also talked to the Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave, who's hoping to beat the London Marathon's sponsorship record by raising more than �1.2m for charity. Richard E Grant came on to Breakfast to talk about his new film Wah Wah - which is an autobiographical account of his life in Swaziland and his book, 'The Wah Wah diaries:The Making of the Film'. The film is on release shortly and the book is available now in bookshops.

Michael Frayn's 1976 comedy Donkey's Years opens at the Comedy Theatre, Panton Street, London SW1 on 9 May (previews 27 April) starring Mark Addy, Samantha Bond, James Dreyfus and David Haig.
