Racing cancelled by storm damage
Bank Holiday horse racing at Les Landes in Jersey has been cancelled because of overnight storms.

One large marquee was blown down and another was damaged as gale force winds battered the island.

It would have been the island's third meeting this year, but organisers called it off for safety reasons.

A Channel Island Racing Regulator spokesman said racing could have taken place, but public areas and the judges' stand had suffered significant damage.
