Wild About Nature with BBC Bitesize

BBC Wild About Nature

What is Wild About Nature?

In a world where screens often dominate all the attention, the BBC’s Wild About Nature offers a refreshing invitation to reconnect with the natural world, right on our doorsteps.

Whether you're guiding a classroom of curious minds or nurturing a child’s sense of wonder at home, this collection from BBC Bitesize and some of the UK’s leading nature organisations provides simple, inspiring ways to explore nature together.

Wherever we are, spending time in nature supports well-being and offers space to reflect and recharge. When we learn how to look, uncovering hidden nature can bring joy through the most unexpected discoveries.

Even in cities, nature is all around us. From plants growing between paving stones to birds nesting on rooftops, urban environments are full of life waiting to be explored and appreciated.

Rediscovering that sense of childhood wonder in our local green spaces enables us to share and build connections and communities.

The Wild About Nature project is inspired by the Hamza's Hidden Wild Isles on iPlayer and BBC One. In this series, wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin reveals hidden wildlife gems from across the four countries of the British Isles.
