No sleep equals no friends? We spend a third of our lives doing it but even the expert aren't exactly sure why we sleep. Doctors are keen to remind us that it's as important to health as diet and exercise, but can sleep really make you over weight, grumpy and lonely? Do lie-ins make any difference at all to how tired you feel? Evidence shows that young people require more sleep than anyone else so should schools and colleges start later? Anthony speaks to one headteacher who thinks so. One person who knows a thing or two about early mornings is Tina from 1Xtra's breakfast show. She's awake when most of us are still cosy in bed.
