Description

The number of suicidal children and teenagers calling Childline is increasing at a "worrying" rate. Suicide is the second biggest cause of death for people aged 15-24 (road accidents is the biggest) and young men are at the greatest risk. The number of boys calling Childline has increased but the majority of calls are from girls. So what does this mean? What's making more young people feel so low they're considering suicide? Or is it just that more people know where to go for help? Childline says that if you are feeling unhappy or depressed, it can be hard to talk, but that discussing your feelings is vital. Charlotte's spoken to one of Childline's top counsellors to find out more. Don't forget that if you're worried about yourself or any of your mates there are LOADS of people that can help you. The Childline number is 0800 11 11 or just click the link for their website.
