In 1955 the McDonald's restaurant chain was founded.
In 1958 both NASA and LEGO were also founded.
The construction of the Berlin Wall in post-war Germany began.
The Cuban missile crisis took place.
1963 saw the assassination of JFK in Dallas, Texas.
