Stagg is regarded as the best bowman in Great Britain but will be working the pit in New Zealand. He has been sailing on top-class international boats since 1989 and is also a highly skilled boat builder. The 32-year-old has performed in British teams at the Admirals Cup and has a host of victories in match racing over the last decade. In that time he reached as high as number two in the world rankings and crewed on Adrian Stead's Barlo Plastics win at the 2000 Tour Voile. Stagg has worked on numerous yacht construction projects, including Jules Verne Trophy boat ENZA. |
