Skuodas is highly sought after by a number of British-based skippers when it comes to choosing a mastman.

More than a decade ago he was a member of Britain's winning Admirals Cup team and crewed on the top scoring yacht Jamarella.

He has figured in a number of international offshore, match racing and Olympic regattas.

At the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 he teamed up with Glyn Charles, finishing 11th in the Star class.
