| Sunday, 1 September, 2002, 21:45 GMT 22:45 UK Debut win for Meunier-Lebouc ![]() Meunier-Lebouc is in her second year on the tour Frenchwoman Patricia Meunier-Lebouc claimed her first career LPGA Tour title on Sunday with a two-stroke victory in the State Farm Classic in Springfield, Illinois. Meunier-Lebouc got the better of South Korean pair Mi Hyun Kim and Se Ri Pak to lift the title in her second full season on the the US Tour. The 29-year-old from Courbevoie had never finished better than sixth in 29 US starts. Meunier-Lebouc finished on 18-under 270, matching the third-best score for a 72-hole event this year. Kim, who has won twice already this season, came into the final round tied for the lead with Meunier-Lebouc. She remained there before bogeying the 14th hole to give the Frenchwoman the advantage and another bogey at the 18th cost her the title. Se Ri Pak tied with her fellow South Korean for second at 16-under 272 by shooting a 65. Rookie Beth Bauer, Laura Davies of England and Emilee Klein shared fourth at 273. Bauer had a share of the lead before her tee shot at the 16th landed in the water. Klein's finish enabled her to qualify for the United States Solheim Cup team, beating Dorothy Delasin and Kelly Robbins for the final automatic spot.
