Meunier-Lebouc extended her bogey-free streak to 35 holes in the process as she moved into pole position for the $165,000 (�100,000) first prize. "I think it means a lot to me to be very consistent," said the 29-year-old who hails from Courbevoie, just outside Paris. "I know I hit the ball pretty well now. I was not as aggressive as yesterday, but still I kept making birdies." Morgan drops back Japan's Akiko Fukushima is second on 10 under par after a second successive 67, a wild round that included an eagle, seven birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey. "It was a very busy day," she said. "I had the same score but I think I hit the ball a lot better yesterday. I had no bogeys yesterday, but I had some today." South Korea's Mi-Hyun Kim is a further shot back on nine under in third, one ahead of Kim Saiki, Nancy Scranton, Cristie Kerr and Hall of Famer Betsy King. First-round leader Becky Morgan of Wales stumbled to a 74 to finish in a group of 11 players on seven under, six off the lead. |
