Kim makes third-round move
South Korea's Mi Hyun Kim
Kim is seeking her third victory of the year
South Korea's Mi Hyun Kim moved into a share of the lead after the third round of the State Farm Classic in Springfield, Illinois.

Kim, the 1999 tournament winner who is seeking her third victory of the year, joined France's Patricia Meunier-Labouc on 13 under par after a second successive 68.

The highlight of the former LPGA Rookie of the Year's round came at the 17th, where she pitched in for an eagle.

Seeking her first LPGA victory, Meunier-Lebouc could only manage a level-par 72 that included four birdies and four bogeys.

The pair lead by a shot from a group of four players on 12 under.

Davies charge

Battling for a spot on the American team in the upcoming Solheim Cup competition, Nancy Scranton is among them, alongside Laura Diaz, Emilee Klein and Australia's Shani Waugh.

Angela Stanford, Pat Hurst, Cristie Kerr and Japan's Akiko Fukushima are another stroke back on 11 under.

Britain`s Laura Davies fired a 65 and is three off the lead.

Along with Scranton, Klein and Hurst, Wendy Ward, Dorothy Delasin and Danielle Ammaccapane are all in contention for the Solheim Cup team, which will be finalised at the conclusion of this tournament.

The top 10 finishers in the Solheim Cup standings will qualify for the team, and captain Patty Sheehan will make two additional selections.
