Neil Alexander is still uncapped

Alexander, who kept two clean sheets for Cardiff over the Bank Holiday, started his career with Stenhousemuir before securing a move to Livingston.

He arrived at Ninian Park over a year ago for �200,000, with chairman Sam Hammam saying the Edinburgh-born youngster had the ability to play international football.

Alexander has been joined in the squad by Dunfermline striker Stevie Crawford and Leicester's Paul Dickov.

Crawford has enjoyed an excellent start to the season, scoring four times in the opening four games including a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Dundee.

Vogts is determined to strengthen his forward line after the loss of Neil McCann of Rangers through injury.
