| TNS march towards title glory
What do Real Sociedad, FC Porto and TNS have in common? We all know that they are all prime holiday destinations, but they are also the only three clubs in Europe who have not lost a league game this season. The club from Llansanffraid are leading the way in Wales and the goalless draw at Barry Town last week means that they have now played 20 games without defeat. TNS have drawn four games, conceding only eight goals in the process. This is a stunning record and should be enough to carry them to the title. Barry and Bangor will have something to say about that, but the boys from Llansanffraid look set to last the pace. Home banker Barry Town have a chance to join TNS at the top this week as they meet Haverfordwest on Friday night. A win would put them level on points but The Dragons will have played three more games than their rivals. TNS will be confident of continuing their fine run at home against Caernarfon who are third from bottom. The Cofis beat Port Talbot last weekend but this will be a very different challenge. Bangor City have closed the gap between the top two and they have two games in hand on Barry Town. Fourth placed Afan Lido travel to Farrar Road on Saturday, and this could well be a bruising encounter. Bangor will have to be at their best to win but with Marc Lloyd Williams back for the Citizens, they certainly have the firepower to threaten anyone. Cup boost Rhyl have had a great week after they beat Barry to reach the semi-final of the Premier Cup. The clash with Wrexham will have to put to the back of their minds as the fifth placed Lilywhites welcome Welshpool to Belle Vue. After going on a great run, Aberystwyth have slipped up losing their last three games. The Black and Greens should put that right as they travel to face bottom of the table Llanelli. The Reds are in desperate trouble with nine points between them and safety. It seems that there is no way back - especially when you consider that they have only won twice all season. Caersws are bouncing after a great away win at Aberystwyth and they will be determined to build on that at home against Carmarthen. Cwmbran, who have slipped to mid table, welcome Oswestry to south Wales. Two other mid table sides meet at Plas Kynsaton as Newtown travel to face Flexsys Cefn Druids, and finally The Nomads make the journey from Connah's Quay to Port Talbot. It's another big weekend and all eyes will be on TNS as they try to stretch their incredible unbeaten run in the Welsh Premier. | Top League of Wales stories now: Links to more League of Wales stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
