| Rhyl and Newport plot cup upsets ![]() A north against south final was guaranteed as Wrexham obtained a home draw against Rhyl and Newport County landed Division Two high-flyers Cardiff City. County will be looking to continue their giant-killing exploits after Tuesday's 3-1 win over crisis-club Swansea City. Rhyl are hoping to become the first Welsh Premier outfit to make the final since Barry Town in 1999. Cardiff and Wrexham, the two Football League clubs, will be firm favourites to reach the final.
"But whatever side they put out, it'll still be a strong side," Nicholas admitted. "The most important thing for us is that we've got a home draw." Rhyl will make the short journey across the A55 to Wrexham, and manager John Hulse is relishing pitting his wits against a professional outfit. "Obviously it's going to be very difficult, but it'll be a good occasion for the boys," said Hulse. "I've had experience while at Bangor City of playing against Swansea and Cardiff in the Premier Cup. "We'll just have to prepare yourself as well as you can. "We'll give a good account of ourselves and who knows what can happen on the day."
