Jones set to miss big game
Bangor midfielder Owain Tudor Jones is struggling to be fit for the Uefa Cup qualifying round clash with FC Sartid on Thursday (kick-off 1600 BST).

The impressive 17-year-old damaged his knee during the Citizens' 2-1 League of Wales victory over Cwmbran and could miss the trip to Yugoslavia.

He was stretchered off the pitch and left Farrar Road on crutches, but manager Peter Davenport is still waiting to discover the full extent of the injury.

Davenport said: "While the hospital x-ray showed nothing was broken, we'll have to wait to know what the problem is.

"It could be a cartilage, or it could be nothing. If an operation is required, it would be a big blow."

Jones played an important role in Bangor's 1-0 first leg win over Sartid, and would have been sure of a place in the starting line-up for the return.

  • Wales' other Uefa Cup representatives, TNS, are also in action on Thursday.

They go into Thursday's second leg against Amica Wronki at Latham Park, Newtown (2000 BST) trailing by 5-0.
