| Williams leaves Rhyl Rhyl FC have parted company with manager Lee Williams after a series of discussions about next season. The Lilywhites finished in sixth place in the League of Wales in the 2001/02 campaign, just missing a place in the Intertoto Cup. But, having been rebuffed in their hopes of moving to England, it seems the club is aiming for a season of consolidation. Managing director Peter Parry said: "We felt, after discussion with Lee, that it would be unfair for him to work within the restraints set by the club for next season. "Lee is an ambitious young manager and has taken us to our highest-ever position in the League of Wales and on the verge of Europe." The official Rhyl website said that Mr Parry and vice-chairman Norman Jones would be taking a sideways step next season after two seasons of rapid growth both on and off the field. | Top League of Wales stories now: Links to more League of Wales stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
