Charvis hands off one tackler and canters under the posts. Jones converts. 58 mins: Demci relieves the pressure on Romania as the hooker bursts through a ruck and gallops 20 metres. The move breaks down with a knock-on and the pause allows Wales to put Barry Williams on at hooker in place of Robin McBryde. 52 mins: Dafydd James shows great strength to hold off his tackler and squeeze in at the left corner flag. Jones misses his first kick of the evening. 50 mins: Brett Sinkinson, having completed his residency period after the 'Grannygate' saga, returns to a Wales shirt as a replacement for Geraint Lewis. 46 mins: Wales click at last and break out from their own 22 with Geraint Lewis. Jones converts. 44 mins: Romania come up too flat on Stephen Jones and his off-load finds Charvis bursting through a gap, handing off his opposite number Bejan and scoring his second try. Jones hits another conversion. 42 mins: Second half continues in similar fashion, with Wales having all the possession only for a mixture of sloppy handling and good Romanian defence to deny them any momentum. Half-time: Wales 27-9 Romania 40 mins: Romania are forced to stop another Wales rolling maul illegally. Jones thinks about kicking for touch but there's only enough time for a pot at goal which he converts. 37 mins: Wales waste a good position but win posession back and sweep the ball from left to right. Geraint Lewis and Colin Charvis are lurking in the backs and Charvis shows them how to hit the ball at pace from depth as he takes Lewis' pop pass for a try. Jones converts. 32 mins: Frantic passage of play eventually leads to Morgan charging down the right wing. He chips ahead but is taken out late. Wales opt for the five-metre lineout but Romania are again impressive in defence. 29 mins: Wales regather from the restart and win the scrum. Charvis picks up from the base and Wales begin a rolling maul that rumbles 20 metres before Geraint Lewis flops over the try line. Jones converts. 28 mins: Tofan gets another penalty chance and makes no mistake to bring Romania within a point. 25 mins: Rob Howley works the blindside, creating space on the openside. Williams move to wing, Gareth Thomas to inside centre and Stephen Jones to fly-half. 22 mins: Another handling error in the Wales midfield leads to another kickable penalty for Romania, which Tofan converts. 19 mins: Gathering from the kick-off, Henson misjudges his pass to Bateman, who also makes a mess of the attempted catch and Wales give a penalty away that Tofan slots to level the scores. 17 mins: Stephen Jones gets the first points of the game with a superb penalty from 53m out in front of the posts. 12 mins: The Wales pack gets the shove on at a five-metre scrum. Colin Charvis has a chance to gather the loose ball and open the scoring but Romanian scrum-half Sirby does well to snuff out the danger. 7 mins: Romanian flanker Iacob looks to have broken clear for a try under the posts but he's called back for a knock-on. 6 mins: Tofan limps off after coming off badly attempting to tackle opposite fly-half Gavin Henson but he returns after being patched up. 5 mins: Gareth Thomas sets alarm bells ringing in the Romanian defence from a scissors move with Allan Bateman but the tackling is good. 3 mins: Wales produce a nice flowing backs move from depth that almost sends fullback Kevin Morgan away down the left wing. 1 min: Romania win their lineout on the Welsh 22 and Tofan fires a snap drop goal at the posts that drifts just wide.
