| Tuesday, 18 February, 2003, 15:29 GMT Saddlers sign Robinson Portsmouth midfielder Carl Robinson has joined Walsall on loan until the end of the season. The Wales international has spent the last month on loan at the Saddlers' relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday and scored in their 2-2 draw against Norwich. Walsall boss Colin Lee, who hopes to make another signing this week, said: "Carl is a player who I have enjoyed working with in the past. "He has undoubted ability and can fill in for various midfield roles, a quality that will prove vital between now and the end of the season," he told the club's official website. Robinson, who played under Lee at Wolves, will provide welcome cover in midfield following injury worries over Martin O'Connor, Fitzroy Simpson and Danny Sonner. |
