Taylor has made the move to Walsall

Walsall boss Colin Lee has snapped up former Manchester United youngster Kris Taylor.

Lee has signed the 19-year-old midfielder on a contract until the end of next season following his release from Old Trafford.

Taylor impressed during a recent trial spell at the Bescot Stadium.

"Kris is very much one for the future, but the reason I have brought him in is because in the position he plays he is better than any of our under-19s.

"If you see something in someone and it doesn't cost you anything, you might as well take a chance," Lee told the Wolverhampton Express and Star.

Meanwhile, the Saddlers boss is hoping to bolster his senior squad with a new signing later this week.
