Although I'm disappointed to be on the bench against England, I don't think it really matters what I feel on the subject.

What is important is that Jonathan Humphreys is the captain this weekend and we all get behind him.

There's a very tough challenge in front of him and the team, and it's important that we all back him and let him come through and show his strengths.

We must remain focused on seeing how well Wales can do on the weekend.

We'll be up against 15 world-class players in the England side who will now be thinking about the Grand Slam after beating France last week.

Everybody looks at results, but at this stage we need to be taking hold of the Welsh jersey and putting pride back into it.

The press have made their opinions of me perfectly clear over the last four or five days.

But if people see me as Wales' most hated man, I'd ask for a bit of perspective.

It doesn't really matter whatever someone wants to write in a rag, because it may be the news today but it's wrapping for fish and chips tomorrow.

If I do come back as captain later in the tournament, that's a challenge I'll have to rise to then.

But in the meantime, we've got to focus on each games as it comes and see what we can achieve as a squad.
