Heather Watson has reached round three of the 2009 Dunlop Orange Bowl competition in Florida, USA.

The 17-year-old beat her Russian opponent Adel Archavskaya, in straight sets, 6-2 6-2.

Watson, ranked junior world number four, is still on course for a meeting with world number one Kristina Mladenovic in the semi-finals.

Mladenovic is through to round three after beating American Jessica Ren 7-6 6-2.
