Heather Watson is through to the second round of the 2009 Dunlop Orange Bowl competition in Florida, USA. The 17-year-old, who is seeded third, beat American Krista Hardebeck 6-2 6-2 at the last 'Grade A' international junior event of the year. Kristina Mladenovic of France, who has already sealed the year-end world number one ranking, is also into the second round. She could meet world number four Watson in the semi-finals.
