Bogdanovic will face wild-card Daniel Cox in the quarter-finals

British number three Alex Bogdanovic is through to the quarter-finals of the AEGON Pro-Series in Jersey.

The 24-year-old defeated France's David Guez 6-7 7-5 6-0 on Thursday.

There was nothing between Guez and the former Jersey Caesareans player in the first two sets with strong ground-strokes from both.

In the third set, the world number 192 moved up a gear to set up a clash with British wildcard Daniel Cox, who has continued his great run.

In the first round, the Lincoln-born player beat seventh seed Robert Smeets and followed that with a straight sets win over Conor Niland of Ireland in the second round.

The 18-year-old, who is ranked 805 in the world, beat 27-year-old Niland, who is ranked 279, 6-0 7-5 at the Les Ormes club on Thursday.
