Watson and her partner made the last eight

Guernsey tennis player Heather Watson is out of the European under-16 tennis championships after losing in the quarter-finals to the top seeds.

She and her playing partner Tara Moore went down 6-4, 7-6 to Sviatlana Pirazhenka and Hanna Orlik of Belarus.

But they can be proud of their performance against the top ranked pair, who had previously only dropped three games in the entire tournament.

Watson made the third round of the singles earlier in the week.
