Lee crashes out
Great Britain's Martin Lee
Lee was beaten in straight sets

Martin Lee's hopes of reaching a second successive Hall of Fame Championship final ended on Thursday as he lost in the quarter-finals.

The 24-year-old Briton was beaten in straight sets by America's Robby Ginepri in Newport, Rhode Island, going down 6-3 6-1.

Lee had beaten second seed Australian Wayne Arthurs in the first round before edging beyond American wildcard Thomas Blake to set up a meeting with Ginepri at the grass court event.

In Thursday's other game, Taylor Dent of America beat Germany's Alexander Popp 6-3 6-2 to progress to the semi-finals.
