Top seed James Blake has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Championships but his elder brother Thomas was beaten by Brit Martin Lee.

Blake's fellow Americans Mardy Fish, Robby Ginepri, Justin Gimelstob and Taylor Dent also reached the final eight at Rhode Island.

Taylor Dent
Dent advanced by upsetting countryman and number four seed Jeff Morrison 6-3 6-4.

"I served well today," Dent said.

"I didn't really back it up with my volleys, but to only get broken once is a good feeling.

"Jeff is a great returner and has a lot of confidence. It is tough to beat a guy with a lot of confidence."

Dent will face number five seed, Germany's Alexander Popp, who beat compatriot Michael Kohlmann 1-6 7-5 6-4.

Young Blake defeated the Czech Republic's Ota Fukarek in three sets.

Lee, who was a surprise finalist last year, shrugged off a poor first set performance to beat the elder Blake in three sets.
