Larrechea joined Sale from Bayonne in the summer of 2005 |
Sale Sharks full-back Daniel Larrechea has been suspended for six weeks after a disciplinary hearing in Dublin. The 29-year-old was cited for alleged acts contrary to good sportsmanship during the 19-7 Heineken Cup loss to Ospreys on 20 January.
Larrechea was cleared of spitting and leading with his head but a complaint regarding "contact with the eye area" was upheld by the panel.
The ban has been backdated to 21 January and runs up to 6 March.
Meanwhile, Biarritz lock David Couzinet also received a six-week suspension after being cited for stamping during a Heineken Cup pool match against Northampton at Franklin's Gardens.
