Sale's injury problems have taken another turn for the worse with number eight Nathan Bonner-Evans facing six months on the sidelines. Bonner-Evans damaged his cruciate ligament against Calvisano on Saturday to add to Sale's lengthy injury list.
The Sharks are already without the likes of Charlie Hodgson, Andrew Sheridan, Jason White and Lee Thomas.
"Nathan's injury looks bad and he could be out for six months," said Sale coach Kingsley Jones.
"He's gutted and we will really miss his driving play."
