Rory Lawson commits to Gloucester for two more years
Lawson has made 102 appearances for Gloucester since joining in 2006
Scrum-half Rory Lawson has become the twelfth Gloucester player to commit his future to the club by signing a two-year extension to his contract.
The 28-year-old, who has been capped 17 times by Scotland, will stay at Kingsholm until the summer of 2012.
Lawson told BBC Gloucestershire: "I am delighted to have re-signed. It's always a difficult time when you don't know if you'll be renewed or moving on.
"The focus is on keeping the core group together so we can look forward."
He added: "The confidence has grown and now we are looking to put a couple more performances on and move up the table.
"There were opportunities elsewhere and it's always a consideration you have got to have but this is a club I really enjoy being at," Lawson continued.
"It's a great group of boys and with the contracts with the coaches being sorted out going forward that is obviously a key factor."
