Scottish international scrum-half Rory Lawson has signed a new contract to keep him at Gloucester until 2010. The 29-year-old has played 44 times for the Cherry and Whites since the start of last season and scored nine tries.
Lawson is the seventh Kingsholm player to have agreed a new contract in recent weeks.
He said: "I am delighted to commit my long-term future to Gloucester, we are a massively ambitious club and I want to play my part."
He added: "Being able to put together a run of games has speeded up my development and working alongside a guy of Bryan Redpath's quality has been a fantastic experience.

Gloucester coach Dean Ryan was keen to keep Lawson: "Rory is a fantastic professional and is the sort of individual we want at this club.
"He takes a great deal of pride in his work and we are delighted to have secured him for another two years."
Lawson is fancied to add to his tally of international caps during the 2008 Six Nations tournament thanks to his outstanding displays for Gloucester in the Heineken Cup.
Ryan added: "He has a great working relationship with Bryan Redpath and I am sure there is even more to come from him on the international stage because his level of performances has been that good for us this season."
