 Cowley has four caps for the Samoan international side |
Exeter Chiefs have completed the signing of Samoa international scrum-half Garrick Cowley from Esher. Cowley joined Esher at the start of last season after spells with New Zealand club Bay of Plenty, and Bourg en Bresse in France. The 28-year-old will join the rest of the Chiefs when they return for pre-season training on Thursday. Exeter head coach Rob Baxter said: "He will bring a good deal of experience and intelligence to the squad." "Garrick has playerd to a high standard in New Zealand and has won several international caps. "He has had a very successful season with Esher and has been a guiding hand in the way they play as well as being an individual threat." The Chiefs have also announced that flanker Andy Miller has committed his future to the club. The 28-year-old Scotland A international made 13 appearances for Baxter's side in the Championship last term.
