Exeter Chiefs have signed hooker Simon Alcott on the advice of former England, Wasps and Leinster prop Will Green.

Alcott was part of Worthing's promotion to National League Three South this season and is highly recommended by Green, the Worthing forwards coach.

"Simon has already been up to train with us and we are all looking forward to working with him," said director of rugby Pete Drewett.

Alcott will compete with Sam Blythe, Saul Nelson and Neil Clark at hooker.
