England coach Andy Robinson admits he faces a tough choice over who should start at scrum-half for next month's RBS Six Nations opener against Wales. Andy Gomarsall started all three autumn Tests but Harry Ellis and the recalled Matt Dawson are both in prime form.
"We have got three outstanding players in form," Robinson told BBC Sport. "Harry Ellis is playing really well and is pushing hard for a starting spot.
"Andy has a tremendous pass and Matt has tremendous leadership skills."
With Jonny Wilkinson, Mike Tindall and Will Greenwood all missing from the midfield, the extra experience of Dawson - who has led England in the past - may be required in Cardiff.
"Matt has had a huge month so we have three quality players all competing for the position," Robinson added.
"That is good news for us against a Welsh team who also have two or three good scrum-halves."
