Robinson was in charge of England last November |
Jason Robinson has been confirmed as England captain for the opening Six Nations clash with Wales on 5 February. Robinson led the side in the autumn Tests and will retain the role in the continued absence of Jonny Wilkinson.
"Jason has the respect of the whole squad and proved himself to be a true leader last November on and off the pitch," said coach Andy Robinson.
Gloucester number eight Adam Balding and Leicester fly-half Andy Goode have been added to England's training squad.
"I'm just really happy," said Balding, who has established himself at Kingsholm after a summer move from Leicester.

"It's good to get the opportunity to join up with the squad and see how it all works." Goode was on his way to Leicester training when he got the call asking him to head north instead.
"I had to go home and pack my bags, but I just took a moment to have a little shout to myself before setting off," he said. "It was a brilliant feeling.
"I'm over the moon, but the hard work starts now - it's the first step for me, but hopefully the first of many."
The pair joined the other 41 players, minus Stuart Abbott, as England began a three-day training session with Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on Monday. Abbott will miss the entire Six Nations after fracturing his right tibia in a clash with Biarritz flanker Serge Betsen.
