Rhodri McAtee secured the second try with an impressive individual effort

Cornish Pirates secured an impressive victory over Moseley in an eight try spectacular at Mennaye Field.

The Pirates took the lead in the first minute through centre Matt Hopper. Winger Rhodri McAtee and flanker Phil Burgess also crossed before half-time.

The Cornish side continued in the same vein after the break, with back Rob Cook scoring under the posts. Hopper then got his second try from 30 metres.

Three more home tries in the final 10 minutes cemented victory.

Although Moseley replied with a score by replacement flanker Mike Maltman, Drew Locke crossed for the Pirates, and Burgess made it a hat-trick with two late efforts.
