Richard Hill link-up at Worcester pleases Andy Williams
Williams made his debut for Wales against Romania in 2003
Worcester Warriors scrum-half Andy Williams says he is enjoying working with coach Richard Hill in pre-season training at Sixways.
Williams joined Warriors this summer after spells at Ospreys, Newport Gwent Dragons and Moseley.
He told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "To work with Richard having been at Bath, it's great for me and you can see how he was as good a player as he was.
"It shows in what he wants and what he has bought that to the side."
He added: "When you are here to train, there is no clowning around, you get it done and you get off.
"It's a lot of conditioning and work with the ball with Richard. It's good to concentrate on the skill levels when you are fatigued."
Williams says he is well aware he has competition for the number nine shirt at Sixways.
"If I have to run a marathon to get into the side at Worcester that won't bother me," he said. "I enjoy it and I train hard as I never see it as work."
Williams, capped five times by Wales, signed for Championship side Moseley in 2009 but spent the end of last season on loan at Gloucester.
He believes the Warriors are working hard on and off the field to try and get back into the top flight.
"If you are together off the field you will be together on the field," he said.
"Perhaps that is what hasn't been happening at Worcester, but if you see a side enjoying it and playing well that is hard to play against.
"It doesn't matter how well you play in the league, it's those play-off games at the end that matter."
