Jersey and Henley both scored two tries in a tight game at St Peter |
Jersey are second in National Two South after overcoming Henley Hawks 18-15 but fell further behind leaders Ealing after failing to secure a bonus point. First-half tries from James Copsey and Steve O'Brien put Jersey in control and gave them a 15-0 lead at the break. But the Hawks hit back with two tries of their own, with Neil Baggett and substitute Tom Haynes touching down. Jersey's only score of the second half, from the boot of Michael Le Bourgeois, was enough to give them a narrow win. O'Brien, who was named man of the match, told BBC Radio Jersey: "It was a very, very physical game. "It's a bit disappointing we didn't get a bonus point, but you get those games where you just have to dig out a win. "We got the win and I guess we'll have to be pleased with that. "I've been privileged to be in quite a few promotion teams here at Jersey and I want another one this year - I'm greedy."
