Cornish Pirates ran in nine tries as they eased past Birmingham & Solihull at Damson Park. Grant Pointer and Blair Cowan both crossed twice, with Jonny Bentley, Dave Ward, Laurie McGlone, Gavin Cattle and Rob Cook the other Pirates scorers. The Bees scored four tries to pick up a bonus point, with Simon Hunt (2), Will Lawson and Jemisi Taulava all going over for the home side. Rob Cook added seven conversions for the Pirates, who stay third. Birmingham remain bottom of the Championship standings having secured just 12 points from their 15 games. The Pirates are now only five points behind second-placed Bedford.
