Lock Ben Gulliver returns to Pirates after Tigers loan

Ben Gulliver
Gulliver played at both Plymouth Albion and Coventry before joining the Pirates

Cornish Pirates lock Ben Gulliver is back at the club having completed a three-month loan at Leicester Tigers.

The 29-year-old made six 'A' Premiership League appearances during his time at Welford Road.

Gulliver also played twice for the first team in the LV= Cup, appearing against Harlequins and Ospreys.

Pirates head coach Chris Stirling said: "Ben is back on deck training and will available again over the next week or so as we get him back up to speed.

Gulliver, who joined the Pirates in 2008 from Plymouth Albion, said the Premiership experience had been a wholly positive one.

"The set-up at Leicester was obviously impressive," he said.

"Combining their resources and a culture that is geared to winning, it is not surprising they have been so successful."
