Esher full-back Jonny Hylton admits his side need to improve their consistency in the second half of their Championship campaign. Esher currently lie 10th in the table, with three wins from their 11 matches. The 29-year-old told BBC Surrey: "We've strung together some cracking performances but the thing that has let us down is our consistency overall. "There's things to draw on in terms of hitting our targets in some aspects but there's still a lot to work on." He added: "We've had some fantastic results along the way but we've lost to some teams we should beat. "It's a good start but we've got a long way to go until we can be very happy." Esher were narrowly beaten 34-38 by Doncaster Knights on Sunday, but Hylton believes there are positives to take from the match. "We'd have liked to come away with the points but we showed we are heading in the right direction," he said. "If we can tighten our defence and not give away easy tries then we will be in more games than we are not. "There's no reason to say we won't be in that top eight come February when the league season finishes."
