Blue Square Bet South side Woking battled to a goalless draw at League One leaders Brighton to earn an FA Cup first round replay.
Ashley Barnes headed over and Gary Hart fired wide as Albion strived to break the deadlock.
But the Cards had chances of their own, and Thomas Aswad's effort flew just wide of the post.
Agustin Battipiedi's deflected shot could have won it at the death for Brighton, but Woking held on.
Brighton boss Gus Poyet told BBC Sussex: "It was the kind of game that if someone made the right decision you would score one goal and the game would be over.
"We didn't make the right decision today. It was not what I was expected.
"We've played really difficult games at home this season and we've sorted them out, but we didn't today. I'll take home plenty of ideas and situations that will help me for the future. A few players will have an extra game."
Woking boss Graham Baker told BBC Surrey: "I'm proud of my players tonight, but then I knew they would give me every single bit of energy.
"We played counter-attacking football and it worked a treat as we quite easily could have gone in two or three up at half-time had we taken our chances. Unfortunately we didn't have that quality.
"Second-half it was back to the wall and bodies in the way. We'll be watching the draw closely and if there's another big carrot at the end of it then it will add to the excitement of the replay".
