Bedford Blues overcame Cornish Pirates in a hard-fought game at Goldington Road on Saturday.

Blues secured 12 points with the boot in the first half, but a Rob Cook penalty and Dave Ward try meant Pirates were four points behind at half-time.

Ward got a second try early in the second half before Blues' Ollie Dodge and Tom Bedford also went over.

Rob Cook got a third try for the Pirates but Pritchard got another two penalties to secure Bedford's victory.
