Grant Pointer started the scoring frenzy for the Pirates |
Plymouth are still hunting their second league win of the season after losing 46-13 at Cornish Pirates. Albion trailed 18-13 at the break, but Pirates wreaked havoc in the second, with four tries from Gavin Cattle, Dave Ward, Grant Pointer and Rob Cook. The visitors were unable to match the hosts' second-half display, leaving them with only one first half-try from Steve Johns. The defeat means that Albion are still second from bottom in the standings. Cornish Pirates are now third in the Championship, having won four and drawn one of six league games.
