Third-place Cornish Pirates travel to league rivals Bedford Blues in Saturday's Championship clash.
Second-place Bedford had an impressive 23-16 points victory at Bristol on Sunday, which means they have recorded five wins from six games.
Pirates full-back Wes Davies said: "Bedford are a really good team and have been for many years.
"We think their squad mirrors ours, so supporters should hopefully see a good game."
Davies added: "Last time we played them they absolutely smashed us, so we know they're a very confident side at home."
It is a battle of the two meanest defences in the division but Blues coach Mike Rayer is not expecting a low scoring affair.
"I'd hope not, I think we're two of the most attractive sides," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"They play positive rugby with a quick tempo, similar to us.
"The forecast is pretty good so we could be in for an outstanding display of attacking rugby, but hopefully our defence will be slightly better than theirs."
After being forced into multiple changes to his line-up in recent weeks because of injuries, Rayer will be pleased to have Sacha Harding and Ollie Dodge back at his disposal.
