Paul Benson's 90th-minute leveller rescued a point for Charlton in a lively encounter at Plymouth.
Bradley Wright-Phillips gave the hosts an early lead when he crashed in at the far post from Kari Arnason's throw-in.
Benson replied when he latched on to Rob Elliot's long clearance and clipped in delicately off the post.
Yannick Bolasie thought he had won it for the Pilgrims with a superb 25-yard strike but Benson earned a point when he swept home from close range.
The hosts enjoyed a period of sustained pressure after Wright-Phillips' fifth goal of the season had given them a fourth-minute lead.
Steve MacLean could have made it 2-0 for Argyle but Elliot saved his shot on the line, before Benson equalised a minute later.
Charlton dominated the early part of the second half and had two chances to take the lead.
Plymouth goalkeeper Romain Larrieu produced a fine reflex save to deny substitute Lee Martin.
Arnason was then fortunate not to score an own goal when he deflected Martin's cross onto his own post, before Plymouth retook the lead against the run of play.
However, Benson's second of the game in the dying moments won Charlton a deserved point.
Plymouth Argyle manager Peter Reid told BBC Radio Devon: "I'm very disappointed but at least it's a point.
"There was a swirling wind and it was difficult for the players.
"But we need to get together, work hard and try and get a home win, we're away from home next week, we should have some players back, so hopefully we'll be back at full strength."
Charlton manager Phil Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: "I thought our performance warranted three points.
"We got off to a bad start, a goal from a long throw and we responded well.
"I thought in the second half we really dominated the whole 45 minutes and we had a real spell of pressure where we couldn't score".
