Cornish Pirates have announced that scrum-half Gavin Cattle will remain team captain for the 2010-11 season.

Cattle captained the side last season, leading the Pirates to victory at the British and Irish Cup, where they defeated Munster 23-14.

The 30-year-old returned to the Pirates in 2009 after playing for the Lanelli Scarlets for two seasons.

Captaining the Pirates in 2006, Cattle also led the side to win the National Trophy 19-16 against Exeter Chiefs.
